Man loathes mobile air conditioner

A mobile air conditioner may seem like the easiest and cheapest option to combat heat during these hot days but it brings more disadvantages than advantages.

Not only is some of the cool air sacrificed, a low-pressure environment is created!

Mobile air conditioners draw in indoor air through their vents. The condenser cools it and then pushes the air out through the hose. So in other words if a mobile air conditioner draws in air through the ventilation slots to be cooled by the condenser and then has to get the hot air outside, it not only means that you are sacrificing some of the cool air, you are also creating a low-pressure environment.

The air pressure outside the room is now greater than inside. Because you cannot simply expel air from a room without replacing it in some way, the warm outside air will wriggle in through holes, gaps, grilles and other openings in the house.

Also, in addition to the tube hung out the window, warm air comes in. So eventually almost as much warm air will come back in that you just fought against and tried to convert to cold air.

This brings us to the crux of the problem; mobile air conditioners with hose will always be significantly less effective than a fixed air conditioner because they not only bring the heat back in, they also pull the air out.

Energizer

Because people are well aware of this problem, today you can find air conditioners with two cooling capacities. These newer models take into account the losses caused by the hose.

Sounds good but these use bizarre amounts of energy and also make a lot of noise.

Noise

Mobile air conditioners make noise. They have different noise levels, so they make even more noise when they are cooling.

If your mobile air conditioner is in your bedroom, you may well be bothered at night by the continuous sound differences of this unit.

Cooling capacity

Mobile air conditioners usually do not have the capacity to cool larger rooms. Also, the air conditioners heat up themselves, which of course releases heat you were just about to get rid of before. This hardly makes a mobile air conditioner suitable for smaller spaces.

Site intake

Mobile air conditioners are usually heavy, ugly, bulky and large. So they are often in the way compared to fixed air conditioners. Your mobile air conditioner is also harder to move than you think, the hot air must always be able to escape through the duct.

So you will have to leave a window open at all times while using your mobile air conditioner. Of course, this does not increase the efficiency of the system, quite the contrary.

We can conclude that while mobile air conditioners ultimately do their job, they still have a lot of drawbacks. Fixed air conditioners are more energy efficient and cost less in consumption.
