The horizontal ground heat exchanger or soil collector is a system of plastic pipes inserted one and a half meters deep into the ground. This system also offers the possibility of using natural cooling in summer. This closed system can be used almost anywhere. The drilling is less expensive than with a vertical system. The disadvantage is that there must be sufficient ground surface and nothing may be planted except plants with horizontal root growth and grass.
