How does a home battery work?
A home battery is typically paired with solar panels to store excess solar energy for later use, especially when the sun is not shining. This system consists of solar panels, a battery, an inverter and a (smart) electricity meter. The solar panels convert sunlight into direct current, while the inverter ensures that this electricity is usable by your household appliances, which run on alternating current.
Why is it interesting to invest in a battery?

When your solar panels produce more energy than your household consumes, the excess power is injected into the grid. This is when a home battery can come in handy.
