Skip to content Commissioned by the ECOOB energy cooperative, EnergyKing installed a 110 kWp system at De Twijg independent elementary school in Wijgmaal in 2023. We installed 276 solar panels spread across seven different adjacent roofs of the school, using a combination of various mounting techniques. This system generates 92,500 kWh of electricity annually, thereby saving 27 metric tons of CO2 per year.
In the summer, the school shares its surplus solar power with nearby public housing units. Thanks to excellent preparation and efficient planning, we were able to complete the installation during the fall break, ensuring that normal school activities were not disrupted.
