For Primus Haacht Brewery in Boortmeerbeek, we carried out a large-scale sustainability project in which two of the brewery’s roofs were fully covered with solar panels and the parking lot was equipped with a modern charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
At the microbrewery—the building in the front on the right—526 JASolar solar panels rated at 545 Wp were installed, providing a total panel capacity of 288.67 kWp, supported by two 110 kVA inverters. At the bottling plant—the central building in the back—562 555Wp panels were installed, with a total panel capacity of 311.91 kWp and also two 110 kVA inverters. Together, the two installations have a total panel capacity of 600.58 kWp and consist of 1,088 solar panels, enabling the brewery to generate a significant portion of its own energy needs.
Subsequently, the charging infrastructure on and around the site was fully rolled out. Eight Alfen Double Pro-line charging stations were installed at the main building, and three additional stations were added to the parking lot across the street. With a total of 11 charging stations, the site now offers 22 charging spots for employees and visitors.
