Skip to content In 2023, we completed one of our most impressive solar energy projects at the Eduard Trailers facility in Lommel. A total of 2,884 JA Solar (550 Wp) solar panels were installed in an east-west orientation, a configuration that optimally spreads energy output throughout the day and limits peak load on the grid. With a total peak capacity of 1,586 kWp.
The panels are connected to 8 SMA inverters with a combined inverter capacity of 880 kVA. The entire system is connected directly to the company’s low-voltage panel via an AC connection. On an annual basis, the system is estimated to generate 1,428 MWh of green electricity, resulting in CO₂ savings of no less than ±257 metric tons per year (the equivalent of more than 1,100 cars being taken off the road for a year).
