House with Enphase solar panels and Enphase batteries

Enphase Micro Inverter technology allows each panel in a solar system to operate independently of the other panels, ensuring maximum output of clean renewable energy for your household or business.

A lot of our installations are now powered by Enphase because of the increased performance, added flexibility, support and safety that come standard with an Enphase Micro Inverter system. So let's take a look at their key benefits.

The 7th generation Enphase microinverter is now available. Packed with the world's most advanced microinverter technology, the IQ7 series has an incredible efficiency rating of 96.5% and is compatible with all solar panels.

Increased power of micro-inverters

An Enphase microinverter is attached to the mounting kit under each panel. The microinverter uses advanced electronics to convert DC to AC under each panel.

This allows each individual panel to provide power independently of the other panels, significantly increasing system power.

On a traditional solar system connected directly to a central inverter, a
shading of only 9% can result in a drop in power output of as much as 54%!

String inverter

One of the biggest limitations of standard string inverter systems is that the panels are installed in series, which means the system will always perform at the level of the worst performing panel.

This means that partial shade on even one panel can have a major impact on a system's yield. Not only shade from trees can affect solar energy yield. Bird droppings and dust, as well as chimneys and high-voltage power lines, can also affect the yield of solar energy.

Greater flexibility

By using micro-inverters, our energy consultants can design a panel arrangement for multiple roof surfaces - both in different orientations and at different angles.

If you use the most power in the afternoon, it may be advantageous to place panels on both north and west to spread the output of solar energy throughout the day.

This prevents a large peak in the middle of the day, making it easier to use a large percentage of the solar energy generated, thus increasing the yield of your system.

Enphase System Monitoring

The Enphase Envoy Communications Gateway is the network hub for the system. The Envoy Gateway connects to the Internet to transmit live data on system performance and critical issues.

This allows system checks to be easily performed remotely from our headquarters in Herent. Customers can also read system output and check system status on the Envoy's LED screen.

The Enlighten software platform provides solar professionals and solar system owners with ongoing system statistics and uptime guarantees.

Enlighten has a user-friendly and attractive interface to view your energy production. This energy monitoring platform is considered one of the best in the industry.

AC currents for system safety

Microinverters convert the direct current from solar panels to alternating current directly under each
panel, often referred to as AC solar panels.

Microinverter systems avoid the need for high-voltage DC power cables, which increases the
safety of the homeowner. With a string inverter system, voltages can
as high as 1,000 volts.

This means that a 230-volt AC system is significantly less likely to have an arc risk.

No "Single Point Of Failure"

In the unlikely event that something goes wrong with one of the panels or microinverters, the
rest of the system will still be operational.

This reduces combined downtime and allows you to continue generating solar power.

Remote technical support

Both Enphase and EnergyKing have access to live and real-time monitoring of each panel. In case
of an outage, EnergyKing receives an automated message to notify us of the problem.

In a lot of cases, Enphase technicians can update the firmware and fix the problem remotely. This can save you days of downtime and frustration.

25-year warranty!

Enphase provides a standard 25-year warranty on microinverters when paired with an Enphase Envoy S, with a standard 5-year warranty.

After all, you have enough things on your mind already, and replacing your solar power system does not have to be one of them.

Easily expandable

Microinverter systems are expandable, they are only limited to your roof space. EnergyKing can install as many additional panels as you want, and the new panels do not have to be the same as your existing system.

This will allow you to benefit from technological advances in the years to come. For example, in 3 years, panels of 500Wp may be the market standard. With a standard string inverter, you will have to adjust the inverter to the number of solar panels.

This means that as panels are added, the inverter probably needs to be replaced. In addition, not all panels are combinable in one inverter. This limits the upgrade possibilities. With Enphase, this is never the case since each panel operates at 230 volts.

Battery ready

Enphase systems are "battery ready," they are the preferred option if you are considering a home battery now or in the near future.

The battery connects directly to the meter board, where we install a control hub that manages power consumption and storage in the home. This makes the Enphase energy storage system compatible with any existing solar system.
